That's one or two punches that may not may not produce a bruise. You have the same mental disorder as the rest of them. The default value is that it was hate crime. If that's not true, then it has to be manslaughter. If that's not true, time to crawl under a rock for a few years until the next chance to advance personal agendas. How about the default value being innocent until proven guilty? How about the default value being he told a story to the police, the police and prosecutor investigated and interviewed witnesses, examined the evidence objectively, and either concluded he was telling the truth or there was insufficient evidence for an arrest. At that stage, if the family is not satisfied, they should contact someone that will help them reopen the investigation in a responsible way.
