I concur with your observations with regard to the "actual" price paid vs # of shares issued, issue. Ultimately we're looking at 90 mil + shares that future quaterly earnings will be divided by. IMHO, analysts are not confident at this time with their ability to accurately project 98 earnings for the combined GTIS/MPRS entity and are taking a "bearish" position until they can get a better handle on things. Consequenty the stock is being punished as there's no "bullish" support at this time. I still believe this is a good deal for GT, but I think a ratio of .5:1, or at most .6:1 would have been more reasonable and accecptable by the street.
