Protein. 3 billion people in China, India and Asia. Another 4 billion elsewhere. They need food, sheltor and energy and will try and consume like the US. Planet can't stand that. And I see no chance of an awakening to what is happening. Look at the right wing in this country with all the education and freedom available. It doesn't even register on their mind a little bit. They stanchly deny AGW although the evidence is right in their faces. Civilization will come apart while people are watching dancing with the stars and never even realize what their role in it was. That is what is so tragic. No awareness of their own destruction. Polar ice cap almost melted in a couple of hundred years and they think that is normal. They even believe FOX news is for real! And some guy found golden tablets with 16th century writing on them.
