for 29 yrs and we were very good friends

Sadly, I have many friends who are no longer in my social circle - people I've known for many, many years. They're smart people - a teacher, computer programmer, business owner, even my family. One group I used to get together with once a month, but haven't seen them since BO won the election. I've been voting since Pat Brown beat Nixon for governor in California and don't remember anything even close to the divisiveness in this country

I recently revisited the Navy Yacht Club, which I used to belong to. A past commodore recently passed away and I went to one of the remembrances. It sure felt good to be among friends again - people who think like I do. At the get-together afterward, I was surprised to hear an equal amount of talk about politics and boats. Even though we live in California, they're determined to get as many people as they can to vote O out.

I've decided my feathers are not going to be the ones that are ruffled anymore

Some old bat has been dragging me to church for the past year or so after quite a long absence.

A new pastor was assigned recently, a blathering liberal. His first Sunday pissed me off some. The second time I heard him I quietly walked. Afterward someone asked where I'd gone. Sweetcheeks stated that I was deeply offended and mis-identified me as a conservative. He responded that I could be taught and salvaged.

A day or two later he phoned. I explained that I was outraged that an important retailer in second hand ideas was spewing appalling ignorance that leads to such abominable consequences. For frosting I added that he was blabbing on a subject where he was not only unqualified, but subscribed to a vision that won't withstand scrutiny.

He was going to arrange a personal visit. We'll see.

So, it's as we all know..... Liberals love you, right up to the point where you hold a differing opinion, then you don't count for spit.....

You don't need that crap.

When you look back, you will be happy you stood up for yourself and your beliefs. People grow everyday, no matter what age. You are on the right track.
