Unclear as to your meaning, Little Joe.... Slavery goes back in time forever it seems....Egyptians had slavery, so did early Rome, and Greece....There were serfs in Medieval times....Many, or most of the African countries had slavery....in fact, Africa sold their people to the people in the Colonies... We can't continue fighting the past....we just have to be aware of what happened, and try not to repeat the mistakes of that past. In my lifetime, I've seen Black entrances and White entrances to public places, as well as separate drinking fountains, etc...all of which as a young girl I wondered why and thought were terrible....most of us lived through the 60's and 70's of such terrible turmoil in the US, race riots, burning of some cities, etc....We watched on TV US Marshalls escorting young black men and women to high school....we watched in horror when JFK, MLK, and BK were killed.... Perhaps it is because I live here in the NW, and have seen no real issues between the races that I have believed we have finally become civilized, and yes, homonigized..... While I didn't vote for Obama, I at least hoped that we had as a country, finally come of age. But Obama has changed everything again. It is he who has caused another division within the country. He seems to not want to heed smarter and wiser voices than his...people like Thomas Sowell, Col. Alan West, Herman Cain, Lloyd Marcus, and others have tried to warn him, but Obama seems to know everything. Obama relies on people like Anita Dunn, Jeramiah Wright, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton....and we get what we see happening around us.
