A older friend of mine and his wife worked for their son's business that, a few years ago, was failing so badly he committed suicide. He saw no other way out except to have the life insurance payout make the company whole and so that his parents could finally receive their two years of back pay. It worked because he was the CEO and the company held the policy on him as its employee. The suicide was not an exception because it was a business policy. The whole thing still creeps me out on a few levels.
