Well that's Hawaii's problem isn't it? My state has NO income tax

OK then in your state its still 59.2%.

And so should the federal government. We should go to a VAT or sales tax.

I might support that if its combined with a repeal of the 16th amendment. (Or a rewording or replacement of it if its needed to have the sales tax or VAT, basically allow for the VAT or sales tax, preferable requiring it to be explicitly listed, or at least allowing for it, not government requirements to cover up the tax amount at the point of purchase, while making federal income takes unconstitutional again).

So, Steve let be get this straight.

You want to eliminate the entire Federal Income Tax system and replace it with a VAT or sales tax.
You didn't mention Capital Gains tax rates, so how do they fit into your tax plan.

Aren't you worried about the regressive nature of sales taxes or are you good with Warren Buffets secretary paying the same (or higher) rates than here boss.
