No,to society who protects you and keeps us civilized. In your view,the only proper agent of society is govt, funded by confiscation of private property. Do you acknowledge any limits to the scope of govt?

The government is you in a republic! Well since the government is me I'll have it buy me a new house and a fancy sports car... Well really I'm not so greedy as to make other people pay for such things, but if I was so greedy I still couldn't make it happen. I'm not the government. I have influence over the government, but not that much, I'm one person out of 310 million. I also have influence over many private organizations but I'm not them and they aren't me, not even organizations that I join. "The government is you" is nonsense.

<The government is you in a republic> THAT is pretty much the most hypocritical statement I have ever seen you put in a post. What a nonsensical statement, from someone who is so wrapped up in having an all powerful central government 'providing' cradle to grave care, they can't any longer even see logic or reason. The government might have been formed to be "me" ..... but liberals like you have seen to it the government hasn't remained "me".
