Esteban; RE:" kick out of profiting from declines..."

My 76-year old Father is the same way, Esteban. I guess it's because anybody can throw a dart and buy when the market is going up. You gotta have more skill (not to mention, courage) to make money when the market is going down.

In theory, it shoudl make no difference, eh? To me, stocks are just black boxes into which we put money, and out of which we gain the delta. Up or down is irrelevant to me, so long as I know whether that delta is going to be + or - inside the box.

In the long run, equity valuations rise. Whoops! broke OEX 459 - Nemer says next support is 455, then 449. Here is his list of OEX levels for today...

/473 /469 /466 (464 close yesterday) 462/ 455/ 449/

>>Speaking of psychology, why do I get a bigger kick out of profiting from declines than advances?<<

Nothing wrong with that... especially in this market, IMO.

BTW, do you use Quote.com to watch the action (don't know where you are--I'm in CT); it has been very sloooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwww today. Gets un-responsive too often for my liking.
