Joe - Did your CPA come to the same conclusion I did with regards to Novell? I took a 2/3 loss on stock I bought over the last three years which I used to offset other long term capital gains.

I still own a 1/3 position with a lower cost basis and will buy significantly more if the stock goes back to recent lows AS LONG AS revenues can be stabilized and CEO Schmidt's "new" products and "services" show some promiss for the future.

Lot's of good articles in this AM's San Jose Mercury news. Giving Push the business - Front page Business Monday section. Looks like Border Manager could be a hit but not the killer app we need.

From the "Starting up Section": Dell, Novell profits in the spotlight..."Novell Inc, the networking software firm which lost $122 million last quarter as it laid off 1,000 employees and cut shipments to reduce reseller's inventories. CEO Eric Schmidt promised at the time: "The next six months will be far different from the last six months. We've done our layoffs, we've cleaned out the stuff I encountered, and now we can get back to normal business."..."

Joe - What's normal business??? I sure thought we would try to accomplish something much different than "normal"! Arn't we in a new paradigm...with CEO Schmidt and the new vision thing....
