While Obama has been a horrible disaster, one that was easily predictable based on his lack of competence to hold the office,

What there was of his ultra-thin resume was socialist at best. I think you summed it up nicely with the above sentence. However, when one makes monumental errors of judgement, I find it hard to give them a pass. If you vote for someone based on the color of their skin as opposed to the content of their heart ......

Condi has no future in politics and never really had a place in politics anyway. But people aren't getting the emotional appeal of the first black President to black people.

I find it tragic that the first black president wasn't someone like her who was totally qualified to hold the office.

Our political process has become so vicious that we don't get really good people who are qualified and would do a good job. We get thick skinned people, and if they also happen to be competent and principled we're damn lucky.

Well, we can agree to disagree. Racism is racism in my book. (The same would apply to voting for a woman because she's a woman.)

If Rice had pointed to any kind qualification or record as a reason to be "giggly" over Obama's election, I could have respected her a little bit -- even though she masquerades as a Republican.

Of course, we know she couldn't do that because Obama has none of either.
