The following "newsclip" was printed in the Times Colonist, Victoria Canada.Monday November 24,1997.
"Women line up for $1350 face cream"
(The Canadian Press)
"The price some women will pay to maintain their looks!
Holt Renfrew stores recently announced they'll be carrying $1350 jars of the moisturizer Creme de la Mer, which is in such demand that there are waiting lists for the skin-care product created by a rocket scientist. We've been selling the two-ounce (60 millilitre) jar for a year now and users simply can't get enough, says Pamela Baxter, managing director of Creme de la Mer. The 16,5-ounce jar (488ml) for $1,350 is a result of that demand.
Creme de la Mer was selling at various U.S. stores until the death of its inventor, scientist Max Huber, in 1991.
Demand for the product grew following its relaunch in 1996, when customers purchased several jars at a time because it was selling out so quickly."

Something for you guys to dream about!
