All the indices are in a consolidation pattern. It looks like traders are watinig for something to get them off the fence either on the negative or positive side. Earnings season will be start in earnest in a few weeks. In the mean time all that is available in terms of news of economic and most of that is backwards looking not forward. Traders needs some forward guidance from companies to form an opinion. Being an election year and being that most traders had a good first quarter, I am not sure there is a reason to hold stocks before the run up to the Election.
