If he would defend his beliefs, one could at least respect his honesty and his willingness and openness. The fact that he lets his (I hate and kill fig trees, but I will thrown a bone to the gentile dogs) Jesus drown, gives rise to the question of just what assistance he would give to anyone he claims to "love" more than anything? How can you love someone and watch them being drowned without offering any assistance whatsoever??
