You desire to break what has worked well for over a hundred years. All in the name of ideology. The ideology being that whatever the government does, private for profit companies can do it better. Why do you think that postal workers are held in such high regard? It is because in the estimation of normal people on the street the post office works and works well. It is a good deal to pay less than 50 cents and get a letter delivered to anywhere in the US within a few days, and very reliably. The post office also delivers to many rural places that the for profit carriers don't. Many rural people will be very upset if you and your ilk manage to kill the post office. They will no longer get service.

So I do not join you in you crusade to privatize first class mail service, even if it may be a monopoly.
