Reagan did it, Clinton did it - and then it ended.

Reagan was a leader and Clinton was a realist when confronted with an R house and senate.

Obama is neither a leader or a realist - he's to wedded to his socialist roots to compromise. We will have to eject him from office to see any hope for change.

Romney managed to run a State entirely opposition to his party rather well and having a head for business understands what it takes to run something as large as the presidency.

Get out of the ideological corner and pass things for the American people

Your putting the cart before the horse. Passing something for the sake of passing something doesn't make any sense. You pass something because you believe it would do good. Ideology is largely belief about what things are good for the people.

Putting partisanship in the corner might make more sense, but its only useful if the other side does as well, and if there is enough ideological agreement that you can pass something covering where you agree.
