In order to make a claim one need not include all members in a set.

Not every last one, but ideally it should be a strong majority, and at a the absolute minimum a plurality or a very large minority that a majority of the rest is ok with.

Leading Christian Republicans have argued for a Christian Theocracy. Examples are Palin and Huckabee.

That overstates what they argue for. In any case "Supporter of Palin and/or Huckabee" is not synonymous with Republican. (And for that matter why a theocracy would likely be hostile to science and may in some sense wage a war on it, those are two different points. Theocracy might be worse, and might even include a war on science, but they aren't the same thing.)
