He was completely being dishonest. If he were giving a lecture on constitutional law, he would NEVER make the same argument.

Is it because he's a dictator, or suffering from hubris, or whatever? I can't say, but that's why we have FOXNews. ;-)

My feeling, however, is that his statements were 100% political and meant to set the context for the 2012 elections. He's obviously appealing to his liberal base. No surprise that Maureen Dowd, for instance, is supporting Obama's dissing of the Supreme Court.
