You are agreeing with what I said two posts ago and in hundreds of other posts. "Beyond that the resurrection of Christ would be central to Christianity" Also, the deity of Christ, the meaning of his "sacrifice" (being atonement), the promise of salvation through faith and grace, etc. and the same age in scripture. Christians believe that all scripture is god inspired and reliable. This is THE essential doctrine of Christianity. One can believe the universe and earth are approx. 9 BILLION years apart in age or one can believe they are the same age. One cannot scientifically believe both. Scripture is wrong or Science is wrong. If Scripture is wrong, then the bible is NOT inerrant and all of her essential doctrines have been undermined. ALL OF THEM. with all the fervor of the damned. doctrinal basis.
