Thanks Michael, Very good posts lately, as often on the SanDisk thread. I'd like to post some info that could be informative, not necessarily relevant to what we want to know. Find below a list of reports from brokers (from Bloomberg): 10/23 Merril Lynch issues research report 10/16 Merril Lynch ...idem 9/24 Merril Lynch ... 8/29 Morgan Stanley Dean Witter ... 8/20 Merril Lynch ... 8/14 H.C. Wainwrights ... 8/11 Merril Lynch ...(raised to near-term accumulate) 8/?? IPO Maven reports on SanDisk Corp. 7/22 H.C. Wainwrights ... 7/03 SanDisk dropped from Coverage at Goldman Sachs Now look at the correlation between the dates of ML's reports and the stock's moves both percentagewise and in terms of volume : whenever ML issues a report the stock gaps either up or down (only once down). Enjoy also the timely move of Goldman Sachs...! (sndk @17) Who's professionnal playing this game? This leads me to think we could have a new ML report one of these days. The stock could make a move. As regards IBES earnings estimates, they show a last update 11/14/97 of 12 months EPS 97 High .80 Low .67 (??) Mean 0.75. This does not make sense. For 98 H 1.05 L .90 M 0.99. Nonsense! As regards the names of analysts covering the stock : Mark Edelstone of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter : outperform 20/11/97 Thomas Kurlak of ML : near-term accumulate 11/8/97 (??) Bennett Notman of HC Wainwright Rex Dwyer and Jerome Wittamer on Silicon Investor : strong buy 10/31/97.
