You dip into your savings or sell assets you own and continue paying for insurance coverage, such as COBRA.

Let's say you are insured by your employer or your spouse's employer. Along comes a lay off, and you are without insurance....problem, you wife was discovered to have a heart condition 5 years ago. What are your chances of finding someone to insure your family?

I think most people would like to find a way to resolve this issue.

But it has to be done in some manner that is within the boundaries established by our Constitution, and that is what the president failed to do.

There are hundreds of possible arrangements which could accomplish solve the preexisting conditions problem. It COULD be done. The problem is that Obama tried to create this obnoxious legislation that would interfere in everyone's lives and put government even more in our business. And they crossed a boundary when they tried to force us to buy a product we don't want.
