Do you think he could have won as a moderate unless he had suddenly developed some of that in your face persona of that governor from NJ? Guilliani got wiped out four years ago cause he didn't have that type of personality IMHO. Perry was what they wanted but he was just another Palin type airhead without the ability to think quickly on his feet I don't know. I think the only reason he's winning now is because he has the money and organization. It seems not to have much to do with his positions nor his appeal. In fact, I would say the Rs don't like him much. Generally, turnout has been low and even in states like WI that are more moderate, he doesn't seem to win my much. I personally find him repugnant...........and I am not sure why.
