Yes. Most of drilling stocks have gone back to AUG/SEP. price, such as DO, UTI, RIG, GIFI, to name a few. So this time really seems different than those small corrections during the last 2 months or so. Is it because mutual fund year-end sale?

The goods news about where we are now is that some of these stocks (like DO) are at significant support, which goes back to August. The bad news could come if we break support here, because then it looks like a double top has formed with more downside to come.

Mike is surely right about the long term, but these world/economic/market events could set back anyone looking at these stocks for the next 3-6 months (like me).
