By the looks of the posts here on this thread there is a real battle going on within the republican party. Some of us are moderates and some of us are conservatives. I don't see the two coming together any time soon, although I can think of a few issues that might bring them closer. I know one thing, conservatives are fuming about tax policy and broken promises. They are much less reticent than moderates and are in fact on the edge of revolt.
