"What I was talking about with central planning was the whole idea of a constitutional democracy."

If you want to come up with your own definitions Chuck, you're welcome to it. Just don't expect the rest of us to go along with it.

No you weren't, your stated goals were:

So we can keep population increase checked, pollution in check, ecologies in check.

What do those goals have to do with constitutional democracy? They are goals only possible in a totalitarian centrally planned Stalinist state. You despise liberty, which is the central theme of the US Constitution.

What I was talking about with central planning was the whole idea of a constitutional democracy.

Which is a very different idea than central planning.

Even extending central planning outside of economic control, in other words outside the normal meaning of the term, to just look at the meaning of the two words "central" and "planning", the constitution was a plan for decentralized government not centralized government. You have different branches of government on the federal level, that check and balance each other, and you have general police power given to the states, while the central/federal government has limited and enumerated powers.

The constitution was the foundation that built the most successful country in the world.

By calling for a degree of decentralization, and by protecting our freedom, from among other things, central planning.
