TheHammer....(Mike I think) ...You have very concisely stated my fear.....I keep trying to wipe it from my brain, because sometimes when we conjure something up, it will actually happen. There is NO way any of us want this to happen....so hopefully, we will get all the agnst out of our system, and on with the business of sending Obama and his crew out of the WH ...

We do have a choice.....now.

This sounds like 3rd party or civil war. BO will remain in the WH, republicans will lose congressional seats, the liberals will stack the SC and remain in power for decades.

If moderates and conservatives work together we can create a win-win situation. If Obama wins it is lose-lose. The choice is ours.

Hi Thehammer,

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I'll do the same with your post below.

- We run the risk of winning the battle and losing the war. Kind of reminds me of players on a football team criticizing their quarterback - "Nah, I'm not going to block for that guy"

You won't find a more willing person ready to attack Barack Obama, so I'm not sure what you mean? Are you saying if people have certain issues and concerns they should stifle their voices and not criticize Mitt Romeny? How far should people be willing to go before losing all sense of self respect? How many beliefs and personal convictions should they sacrifice at the alter of a political party? It is a fact republicans have gotten more and more socialistic and have disregarded the conservative wing of their party. If they lose the vote of conservatives it's their own fault.

- I am as conservative as most and I believe the republican candidate will be Mitt Romney. I am also a pragmatist and BO is sending us to a dark place from which we may never return.

I'm not denying Romney is going to be the nominee and fully understand where BO is taking us. I also have a "mouth full" of criticism for the republican party because in my opinion and up until the TP was formed republicans were taking us in the same direction as BO only slower.

- If we don't come together then I see two possible outcomes:
1) BO wins (most likely)
2) Romney wins mainly through the efforts of independents and moderates and conservatives have less of a say in his administration. Party splinters - Liberals positioned to retake congress / presidency.

Could be...........I can't predict the future. If the republican party wants to ignore the conservative wing of the their party it is their decision, but they do so at their own peril.

- If Obama gets reelected then we can keep on fuming. He knows that the tax policy is a very inefficient means to redistribute wealth and may resort to more drastic measures.

I wasn't talking about BO.........there is no dispute he's a Socialist with a capital "S". I was talking about the republican party and their penchant for making promises they don't keep, making laws that people hate (think light bulbs) and enriching their contributors and then raping the taxpayers to pay for it all. I can't count the years we've been asking our candidates to reduce the size of government, eliminate waste and obey the constitution only to be totally ignored and disrespected. How much longer do you think we should tolerate that kind of treatment?

- This sounds like 3rd party or civil war. BO will remain in the WH, republicans will lose congressional seats, the liberals will stack the SC and remain in power for decades.

I have no control over the American public. If republicans continue to behave like socialist they will most certainly lose congressional seats, and judicial appointments. I am not afraid of BO and the democrats..........I am in full attack mode. I cannot afford to remain quiet. I have remained quiet for too long, and all it's gotten me is liberal policies that have bankrupted our nation and significantly reduced our wealth. You can continue to support the same old same old if you like, but I'm going to work to get TP candidates elected because the republican party continues to nominate (it's his turn) RINOs and ignore the rest of us.

If moderates and conservatives work together we can create a win-win situation. If Obama wins it is lose-lose. The choice is ours.

That is a two way street. I've been ridiculed and attacked by Romeny supporters for my choices and haven't seen any indication what so ever they want to "work together to create a win-win situation" with me. Do you actually think I'm going to get any respect and cooperation by taking a stand? I don't, but I don't care anymore. Like millions of Americans, I have had my fill of "going along to get along." Read KLPs post to me about the man who is running in her district. He is much better at voicing our frustration than I.
