Not trying to tell you and the trainer what to do ----BUT--

----->Will probably run him in a 40-50 claimer going 5 1/2, just to get a race in him... He's strickly a router for sure...

If he's a "router for sure" have the joc ...

1) no pressure out of the gate
2) hold him back "strongly, if needed" to the 3 pole
3) let him have his head there
4) depending on the response
.......4a) if he "goes" in the turn------hold him up the last 1/16
.......5a) if he "ignores" burn his butt into the turn and let him run the last 1/16

6) send him out again at the same distance depending on the results from the above instead of 6 fl.

Reasoning-----

re 4a) left alone to have his head in the turn-----true router will make strong move if the joc has no differing instructions.
re 5a) urged might be what he needs.
re 6) you aren't trying to win with him anyway so you can learn......

Like I said------I'm not telling you what to do---------gggggg
