Some good points, for sure. I personally thought Cain should be our next president (and would still very gladly vote for him), but the media 'kneecapped' him early. They obviously thought he posed a threat to their messiah too, so they had to get him out. I would venture to guess there was three times the effort put into digging up dirt on Cain, than has ever been put on vetting Obama.

I am still somewhat undecided as to what I think would be the effect of Gingrich, Santorum and Paul staying in the race until the convention. I'd like them to drop out now, too, but I am not sure their failure to do so will actually do much harm to the republican candidate in the general election.

But they do need to proclaim loudly and clearly at the convention that they want their supporters to rally round and get behind our candidate in the general election. If the 'also rans' don't do that, then we will suffer some very negative effects.
