You put your finger on exactly why Reichert has won....the Repubs in WA State on this side of the mountains are, by and large, Casper Milquetoast folks....not all, because I know many that aren't....but there are SO many libs here, that unless we run a moderate Republican, we will NEVER have a Republican either a Rep or a Senator from these 5 leftwing Counties... This is like the New York, Boston, DC corridor....almost all Libs....and most of them Far Left... It's very discouraging. Told you I sat next to Reichert several years ago when he was still KC Sheriff and had just started running for the US House....Great guy, but not one to make waves. I'd bet he always has his finger in the air checking which way the wind is blowing.
