As far as I know, you can get free or reduced priced mammograms through our county health departments.

It's pretty interesting that you have so much concern for women, but would have them cowering in fear in a closet hiding from home invaders with hopes and prayers that outside help might arrive in time....."save me government....save me!"

Judge Napolitano: 'The President Is Dangerously Close to Totalitarianism'

Says power-mad Obama harbors 'extreme view'
on role of the Supreme Court and Constitution...

Appearing on Fox the other night, Judge Andrew Napolitano told Neil Cavuto that Barack Obama's flippant disregard for all other branches but the Executive is getting downright scary
(and that's just going by what he says in public):

Napolitano:

"I think the President is dangerously close to totalitarianism. A few months ago he was saying, the Congress doesn’t count. The Congress doesn’t mean anything. I’m going to rule by decree and administrative regulation.

Now he’s basically saying the Supreme Court doesn’t count. It doesn’t matter what they think. They can’t review our legislation. That would leave just him as the only branch of government standing, so I think he has some problems with understanding the Constitution or accepting limitations on his power.

Look, they are equal branches of government, but with respect to what the law means, or the Constitution means, the Court is superior to the President

No President in modern times has questioned their authority. They’ve questioned the way the authority has been exercised – not their right to make the decision.

This is an extreme view of the Supreme Court and the Constitution, one that has not been articulated since Andrew Jackson was in the White House...."

If you don't think it could get any worse just re-elect this nut and see what happens next- Obama had Homeland Security order-up 650M bullets and bulletproof checkpoint booths for a reason.

NBC Fires Producer of Misleading Zimmerman Tape H/Tgoldie
By BRIAN STELTER - April 6, 2012, 7:05 PM

mediadecoder.blogs.nytimes.com

NBC News has fired a producer who was involved in the production of a misleading segment about the Trayvon Martin case in Florida.

The person was fired on Thursday, according to two people with direct knowledge of the disciplinary action who declined to be identified discussing internal company matters. They also declined to name the fired producer. A spokeswoman for NBC News declined to comment.

The action came in the wake of an internal investigation by NBC News into the production of the segment, which strung together audio clips in such a way that made George Zimmerman’s shooting of Mr. Martin sound racially motivated. Ever since the Feb. 26 shooting, there has been a continuing debate about whether race was a factor in the incident.

The segment in question was shown on the “Today” show on March 27. It included audio of Mr. Zimmerman saying, “This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.”

But Mr. Zimmerman’s comments had been taken grossly out of context by NBC. On the phone with a 911 dispatcher, he actually said of Mr. Martin, “This guy looks like he’s up to no good. Or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about.” Then the dispatcher asked, “O.K., and this guy — is he white, black or Hispanic?” Only then did Mr. Zimmerman say, “He looks black.”

The editing of the segment was initially noticed by NewsBusters, an arm of the Media Research Center, a conservative media monitoring group. On March 31, NBC told The Washington Post that it would investigate.

Inside NBC, there was shock that the segment had been broadcast. Citing an anonymous network executive, Reuters reported that “the ‘Today’ show’s editorial control policies — which include a script editor, senior producer oversight and in most cases legal and standards department reviews of material to be broadcast — missed the selective editing of the call.”

On April 4, the network news division said in a statement that it deeply regretted the “error made in the production process.”

“We will be taking the necessary steps to prevent this from happening in the future and apologize to our viewers,” the network said.

It did not specify what steps it would take. But one day later it dismissed a Miami-based producer who had worked at NBC for several years.

The people with direct knowledge of the firing characterized the misleading edit as a mistake, not a purposeful act.

Pap smears? Mammograms? Prostate exams? Not under Obamacare
March 16, 2012 by Don Surber

Slowly but surely the truth is coming out about Obamacare: Conservatives were right.

Conservatives said Obamacare would cost trillions. Our intellectual and moral superiors on the left sneered.

The CBO reported this week that Obamacare will cost nearly $1.8 trillion in the first 10 years alone — nearly double what Democrats said it would cost. And instead of reducing the deficit, Obamacare will increase the deficit.

Conservatives said Obamacare would cost people their health insurance. Our intellectual and moral superiors on the left sneered.

The CBO reported this week that Obamacare already has cost 4 million people their health insurance.

Conservatives said there would be less health care under Obamacare.

This week, MSNBC reported:

Most women can go as long as five years between cervical cancer screenings as long as they make sure to get both a Pap smear and an HPV test when they do get examined, a government panel said Wednesday.

The interval between cervical cancer screenings can safely be extended for women between the ages of 30 and 65, according to the new recommendations from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force.

Women ages 21 to 30 should still get a Pap smear every three years, the interval currently recommended. But those younger than 21 and older than 65 can skip the screen altogether, the experts concluded.

The panel is urging a extended intervals in screenings in an attempt to cut back on the number of women who end up being treated for lesions that might resolve on their own.

Earlier, the New York Times reported:

Most women should start regular breast cancer screening at age 50, not 40, according to new guidelines released Monday by an influential group that provides guidance to doctors, insurance companies and policy makers.

The new recommendations, which do not apply to a small group of women with unusual risk factors for breast cancer, reverse longstanding guidelines and are aimed at reducing harm from overtreatment, the group says. It also says women age 50 to 74 should have mammograms less frequently — every two years, rather than every year. And it said doctors should stop teaching women to examine their breasts on a regular basis.

Just seven years ago, the same group, the United States Preventive Services Task Force, with different members, recommended that women have mammograms every one to two years starting at age 40. It found too little evidence to take a stand on breast self-examinations.

Also this week, CNN reported:

he U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, the group that told women in their 40s that they don’t need mammograms, will recommend that men not get screened for prostate cancer, according to a source privy to the task force deliberations.

The task force is set to recommend a “D” rating for prostate specific antigen, or PSA, testing. Such a rating means “there is moderate or high certainty that the service has no net benefit or that the harms outweigh the benefits,” according to the group’s website. The task force is set to propose this recommendation Tuesday, and then allow for a comment period before issuing a final recommendation.

According to a draft copy of a report released Friday, a review of studies shows screening with the PSA blood test results in “small or no reduction” in prostate cancer deaths.

The report adds that PSA testing is “associated with harms related to subsequent evaluation and treatments.”

The wheels are being greased to eliminate expensive testing for cancer. We’ll be like England.

Let me summarize: Less care for fewer people at double the price. Anyone can screw up. It takes the federal government to screw things up royally.

Obamacare is here to serve man...lol

If the size of the U.S. labor force as a share of the total population was the same as it was when Barack Obama took office—65.7% then vs. 63.8% today down from last month—the U-3 unemployment rate would be 10.9%.

NBC Producer Fired Over Edited Trayvon Martin 911 Call As Neo-Nazis Begin Patrolling Sanford

Mohawk Gaz (AP)

The 911 call made by neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman on the night he fatally shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin is at the crux of the U.S. Justice Department's investigation into whether they will prosecute Zimmerman. There have been independent analyses of the call trying to discern whether Zimmerman uttered a racial epithet, to determine whether the shooting could be characterized as a hate crime. Now, an NBC producer has been fired for editing the call to make it seem as though Zimmerman told police that Martin was black without being prompted.

During the clip which aired on the "Today" show on March 27, Zimmerman tells the 911 operator: "This guy looks like he's up to no good. He looks black." According to the transcript of the call, Zimmerman first said: "This guy looks like he's up to no good. Or he's on drugs or something. It's raining and he's just walking around, looking about." The dispatcher asked: "O.K., and this guy—is he white, black or Hispanic?" Zimmerman responded, "He looks black."

"During our investigation it became evident that there was an error made in the production process that we deeply regret," NBC News said in a statement. "We will be taking the necessary steps to prevent this from happening in the future and apologize to our viewers." Nevertheless, they have not released the name of the producer. One source characterized the misleading edit to the Times as a mistake, not a purposeful act.

Friends and lawyers have come out of the woodwork to defend Zimmerman—who is still in hiding, and hasn't appeared in public since the shooting—in the media. Among other things, they've pointed out that Zimmerman handed out fliers at black Sanford churches a year ago, outraged that a white police lieutenant's son—who was captured on video sucker-punching a homeless black man—was not arrested on the spot.

Meanwhile, a disturbing new group has reportedly come to Sanford, Florida, where the shooting took place. According to the Miami New Times, neo-Nazis have started conducting heavily armed patrols in and around Sanford, and are "prepared" for violence in the case of a race riot. "Whenever there is one of these racially charged events, Al Sharpton goes wherever blacks need him," said Commander Jeff Schoep of the National Socialist Movement. "We do similar things. We are a white civil rights organization."

He cited the New Black Panther Party's recent offer of $10,000 for a citizens' arrest of George Zimmerman among other things. "We are not advocating any type of violence or attacks on anybody, but we are prepared for it," Schoep said. "We are not the type of white people who are going to be walked all over."
