Picking at the last minute for me was to pick a number related to the other picks. A better tie-breaker would have to do with skill or luck, not just noticing when you post the rules. Somebody now for the U.S. Open could pick a team before you post the rules. And then like The Price Is Right, someone could pick 1 away from a posted pick. I like posted picks, but we could have PM picks and you post them only after the deadline. Too much work for you, I think. I'd rather have it like matching cards, for any tie(s) by 1. Comparing the top 3, and if needed 2. the top 2, and if needed 3. those who picked the winner, and only then 4. by the earlier entry I like this premium on picking the winner and the team. This would not require the participant to guess anything. The picks and their finishes would determine the tiebreak for 1-3, and only step 4 would look at the entry time. If you want a disincentive to post on Wednesday rather than the earlier days, make it tougher for those who pick on the last day. Don't let them have step 4, and they'd be knocked out by any earlier entries if the card matching gets to step 4. But consider that there are late entries, up to April 1 in this event, and withdrawals like Dustin Johnson in this event. Thanks for running the tournament.
