The thesis of the problem in America is the rich, corporations and powerful are taking over the country. Simply put: the rich and powerful have the means to buy our congress and write laws that they like, tax cuts for themselves and judges they like. Corporations are like dictators we have no control over them and they will be self serving, so we cannot expect them to address the needs of society, only their own needs. And they have no empathy or conscience. Government is elected by the people, so a government is the only power which can check the corporations power and govern according to what society needs and not its own self interest.
