Well, simple math without arguing who had done more damages ... Carter had 4 years ... Bush had 8. So, using your Reagan's record, Obama would need 4 years ... at least.

Well... Reagan's time in office DID SEE massively higher structural deficits produced, and lower GNP, and lower rate of job production and wage growth for the middle class....

(But, on the other-hand, Fed Chair Paul Volker, appointed by Carter, *did* finally break the back of the inflationary cycle that had been bedeviling our country since the late sixties....)
