Everybody here seems to miss what Obama is. He is the most successful collectivist demagod this country has ever produced. He came along at exactly the right moment for the Left. What were the chances of a Leftist leader of his caliber surfacing just as the Dems got 60 Senators together to match their control of the House? He is an ideologue, not a working organizer. That is why he has left it to Congress to put the laws through. He has no expertise at doing it. But he is the most powerful leader the Dems have had since FDR.

All this badmouthing and name calling of him that is done here misses the point. The man is a genius at what he does. Our leaders on the Right try to deal with him with reason. Waste of time and effort. He deals in manipulating millions. Reminds me very much of Goebbels in Germany in the 30's. Pay no attention to the truth, just keep chanting the big lies and leaving the Right in the dust. While we are trying to clean up his lies with the public here, he is already further down the trail, selling even bigger lies.

I wish we had a Demagod on the Right that could match him. If reason will work, we have as good a man as we could ask for in Romney. The closest we have to Obama is Gingrich, but he is too flawed.

Our best best bet, unfortunately, is to hope for bad times.
