Yep. Anyone who has worked in Corporate America knows that there is no free speech and there is no Democracy. It's a thinly veiled heirarchical autocracy and there are real penalties for not towing what every the corporate line is. It's kind of funny. We're so fiercely Democratic, but we live 2/3rds of our life in a functional autocracy.

Miami/Dade County has a 500 million investment thru bonds which financed a new ball park. His "comments" threaten the success of that business enterprise.

So he said something that might be interpreted as disrespectful by a bunch of radicals of an exile community and all hell breaks lose. What does this have to do with the integrity of the game of baseball or ability to lead his team? And a private/public partnership is for the greater good of the entire community. I am embarrassed that Miami is a part of the state of FL or this country sometimes

Controvesy that the owners cooked the books to get the bond money. Basically lied they say. Took the community to the woodshed, allegations.
