Than you can tell those engineers where they are wrong! I walked 10 miles each way...(s) Funny how many engineers do work contracts in which they are not familiar with the terrain or the properties of certain materials required for the job. The various government agencies have been known to give jobs to their pals who have at times formed a "company" that fits the bidding requirements imposed by that very politician. They need all the help they can get lol I have a friend who is an engineer. He built catalyst cracking towers around the world and various plants in the states like corrugated aper etc. I would go to the sites sometimes and he would point out many things you cannot learn in school. He would always go to the site , check maps on the geology and even talk to people in the area. One thing he did very well was listen to people.
