AAPL broke through the 5 day low this morning when it went south of 617. I would suspect it will find a bit of short term support here around the 614-617 range. If not, the 10 day low is around 597.

As previously mentioned, I still favor the slow melt up and yesterday's run was too quick, too fast.

If you're trading short term, play the strongest companies but only after they hit short term support AND start to rebound. Examples are IBM at 202, PCLN in the low 720s, etc... If they break below support than there's substantial drops to their next support levels, as I'm showing below 200 for IBM and some for PCLN at 710 but 644 becomes the next lower level at or around the 2 month low...so caution is needed if playing weakness.

As I type this, AAPL is making new lows in the 610 area. Most likely a retreat below 600 is the short term target here.

fwiw....

EDIT - just a reminder that weak Fridays often are good setups for short term strong bounces during the next week. No need to step in front of the train, so waiting for a clear turn of the trend "is your friend"!!

AMRS, new lows every day. No rush here.

CRDC, IVAN, CLSN, CYTK, MRGE, AONE and CHTP appear to be basing but, once again, no rush until a clear trend change occurs.

RSH, screwed the pooch again. Looking for this one to continue the down trend.

SVNT, looking a bit more positive. Decent move off the low 6 weeks ago. Can it continue to push through overhead resistance?

MIPS powered higher on news they are looking to sell the company. Best move of the bunch but have to wonder how much more is there? Certainly backing off the recent highs.

CTCM, ZIOP, DVAX and CLDX backed off their strong moves. All could head north from here, imo. Depending on risk tolerance they all look like good, short to medium term, long candidates with tight stops just below their recent bottoms. Probably worth waiting for earnings releases before taking new positions.
