I have a feeling Zimmerman would have been better off letting the black panthers catch him.

I don't think Jury members are threatened much for 3rd party like this thing. If the atmosphere got that nasty the court would never identify them later. If jury threats begin working again, we will lose the country. Those "New Black Panthers" are not a serious organization. They are all relatively stupid and not at all like the original group.

<<Who would want to be on a jury that acquits him? they would have to be brave souls.

I wouldn't want to be Zimmerman. I certainly wouldn't be expecting a fair trial.>>

The OJ jurors seemed to survive in tact. Of course, the defendant was black so there was no white criminal activity after the verdict.

With Zimmerman a guilty verdict will not be so peaceful.

A Zimmerman acquittal will not be peaceful either.

A nascent race war is in progress.

Promoted and supported by the Obama Administration.

Of course none of us know the facts, but if he has a good case, Zimmerman should waive his right to a jury and have the judge decide it. That will eliminate a lot of the prosecutor's theatrics.

Many years ago a criminal defense lawyer I knew shared advice he gave all of his clients. If you know you are guilty insist on a jury, they get it wrong quite often. If you know you are innocent, waive the jury trial, the judge is much more likely to get it right.
