<<(LSD) produces no aphrodisiac effects, does not increase creativity, has no lasting positive effect in treating alcoholics or criminals, does not produce a “model psychosis,” and does not generate immediate personality change.>>

<<Henderson, “About LSD,” pp. 39, 42, and 49; Leigh A. Henderson, “Adverse Reactions to LSD,” in LSD: Still With Us After All These Years, Leigh A. Henderson and William J. That is old research.

The latest research and I am sorry I cannot get my hands on all of it, but some of it was in New Science, some in Scientific American and Mind magazine and some, somewhere else? said several things I remember:

1) Every "single" alcoholic treated with LSD showed improvement. Just one recent study. My guess is it is because it allowed the person to see themselves more clearly and thus help themselves??

2) They have recently followed some hallucinogens (psilocybin I think) through the brain and now believe it lifts filters that allows the brain to see more clearly.

3) Pot: Scientific American (using research from Scripps) about two years ago had a huge article on pot and called it a "tonic" for the brain. They also published it in their Mind magazine.

It did several things. Kept protein build up from happening which prevented dementia, created new neurons, created mirror neurons, prevented the body from overloading on adrenaline and some other things I cannot remember. As well another recent study, the largest ever of moderate users over a 20 year period found no loss in lung function at all and some heavier users only modert loss of lung function?
