There is a case study by Chesbar Resource on a project in Venezuela that shows MMI RR over a deposit . That is a classic for seeing the relationship of mass of ore to RR#s .

Even higher grade ore right on surface does not give #s that a larger yet deeper mass gives . The difference in this case was a RR of 50 vrs one of 150 for the larger buried target . It was 35 m of 7.6 g/t ( aprox. ) at about 60 m deep plus a 25 m of 7.6 at 40 m and surface channels of 2.6 g/t .

In both targets there was ore in channel sample on surface with the higher grades being in the lower RR . Channels of 2.6 g/t vrs 3.6 g/t over at least 25 m .
