Francis and all,

I got my notebook ZIP today for my Toshiba Tecra (from CNF). It came in a box which had the same look as the other ZIP drives except the CNF name was also on the box. No drivers, no setup. I just plugged it into the select bay and it worked like a charm. I will never have to used a 3.5" disk again. As it turns out, I should have received a ZIP disk with ZIPTOOLS and Recordit but that was missing along with the documentation. I called CNF and they are sending out the missing items immediately. Documentation must be very simple because it was totally plug and play. My guess is that the sofware I am missing (in addition to Tools/Recordit) will allow me to change things such as the timeout setting (to save power). I think they were in such a hurry to get this out to me that they just forget the pack-ins. It is my understanding that they are no longer taking orders from individuals but are referring customers to CompUSA which should be stocking them now. If you placed you order a long time ago, like I did, they will still fill it.

I have been waiting a long time for this product and I must say that I am thrilled. Transfering data between this notebook and my desktop at home and work just became amazingly simple. No cables, no power supplies, and no external devices to hassle with. This thing is awesome!
