That's what the affidavit claims ... then it switches to the passive voice "and a struggle ensued." The passive language sounds like they may not contest that the 6'3" Martin was the aggressor when it came to the fight with the 5'9" Zimmerman. They're also admitting that a physical struggle occurred PRIOR to the shooting. Corey has a history of bringing charges she doesn't intend to win in hopes of forcing a plea on a lesser charge.
