smith, Why are Rasmussen's polls always different from Gallup's?

Rasmussen only includes people who are likely voters, most polls include any registered voter. Rasmussen is consistently more accurate.



However, in selecting the pool of likely voters, the election which is selected has a tremendous impact on how the poll results turn out if the polling is a scientific poll. Chose the wrong elections to gather results can invalidate the poll. However, giving the various polling organizations I believe that they know what they are doing in their polling.


I suspect that is why many of the pollsters use the registered voters in their scientific statistical sample pool as you indicated when they do in their polling in order to avoid choosing the wrong election to choose from.
