" < Wow Greg o re. >"You are the one who posted a condemnatory scripture and applied it to me personally. " I posted a scripture to ponokee, because, as I stated, it seemed similar to the post he submitted. He attributed the character to you, I did not identify you personally or otherwise in that post. Truth is, it does seem to characterize you, so I can see why you got riled over it. Is it a problem for you because it was pointed out? Why?< >>Similar to this scripture: Revelation 3:15-16 which say; "I know your deeds, that you are neither cold not hot. I wish you were either one of the other! So, because you are lukewarm - neither hot nor cold - I am about to spit you out of my mouth." Finding comfort in the shelter of status quo establishment, a powerful group in which to belong, and general subservience to authority is luke warm. Such people often become nasty when the status quo is threatened or when rituals, ceremonies, and general practices of their political group, religious group, or other social institution is questioned on idea or principle... ironically, willing to violate those very ideals and principles in the process. p'ttuiii<< >" Of course Islam is a distinctly anti Christian religion as evidenced by the inscriptions all over the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem,...< Whatever Religious conflicts you have, have nothing to do with me. >"so it's not surprising that a convert to Islam like yourself would exhibit the same kind of animosity. "< I am not anti-Christian religion nor am I anti-Christian. I love Jesus. Many of my loved ones are Christian, some are Muslim, some are neither. I do not see a conflict in any way. I do see what happens when people wrap themselves in dogma, while dealing with others in a vicious and toxic manner. Groups in the world, therefore, are at each other's throats over dogma and I recon they will be until the end of time. People who are devoted to dogma become extremist, hateful, cruel, and insist others are anti-whatever. They thrive on it, it is the little guy with a complex looking for a fight to prove big guys are bullying him, it is the bigot who finds other bigots to argue with. The character of such people is a violation of all that is good in human nature and all that is holy in scripture. It is what it means to be a religionist. If you find distinctions between Christianity and Islam and/or if you want to argue someone opposed to your view does that, thus creating a hostile climate, feel free to engage those people. I am not one of you/them, so your attribution is false on my account (I understand that probably does not make sense to you). >"You are a real piece of work."< Whatever I am, it is not the dogmatic opposition you've attempted to label me with for me over the years. I have a picture of you being someone who wears the dogmatic mantle of religion because you believe you can defeat others, or beat others into submission that way. I suspect that is how you came to accept your "world view." I don't know you other than the presentation you bring to SI, so I am just basing my observations on that.
