You missing the forest for the trees... 50 million white box Android 4.0 tablets are 50 million. I could care less where they are sold, even though I'm sure they find themselves to the US and Europe but the bulk will be sold in Asia and India. BTW, this does not count all the name brands from Samsung, Asus, Acer, Lenovo, Motorola, Sony, HTC, Toshiba, Google, Amazon, and more.. so Android 4.0 tablets could move some 80+ million units in 2012. Android 4.0.4 is amazing and awesome both on phones and tablets... and will be a massive seller in 2012...

So only OS X Lion (Developer version released July 20, 2011) is getting this security fix, huh? You know, for BackDoor, the largest breadth malware outbreak in the history of computing (congradulations, Apple).

Microsoft just announced that Windows XP (RTM August 24, 2001), will cease receiving critical updates in two years (2014).

The clear impression one is left with is that Apple treats security like any other thing they can market (ala SIRI), and pretty much doesn't care about the owners of hardware made two+ years ago.

Really sad. But completely typifying the Apple way.

One more thing... at these prices, Android tablets will devastate the digital picture frame market. Cause buying one of those WiFi Android 4.0 tablets is cheaper than buying a digital frame and can be used as a better digital picture frame with automatic dropbox wifi picture updates. In fact I plan to buy 10 of those for relatives who requested digital picture frames for pictures and videos of our family and relatives. I plan to set them up all with dropbox and tasker and completely automate the units from boot up with the added bonus, that they can use it as a full blown tablet as well. I LOVE IT!!! They will sell gazillions of them at $100 bucks....
