The most obese states are Red States with very high rates of poverty and the least obese states are mostly blue states with much lower rates of poverty.

I don't have time to respond to this-----------there is another reason national background-----and genetics.. I.e. Let's take Hawaii, In Hawaii I saw people that I marveled at their size. The women and the men would walk in a room and they were huge in width and height. Then there were the petite women of oriental extraction. The Samoans were short and not shaped the same. Let's go the other direction---------oh my that child is undernourished because he or she is 'skinny'----okay lets put them on a program to stop their being skinny. Of course, today no one would call a child skinny or puny. Fact is that some children are skinny and growing naturally. Then there are the people who appear 'fat'-------their fat is muscle----muscle that gets used. These are the people you don't want to call fat or obese. Seems like much ado by those who want to control freedom to be who you are.------fat, skinny, short, talk, medium. Then there was the woman in our area who was naturally heavy, and did not know she was pregnant until she had the child. (Yes this is the truth.)
