You are seeing a killing through a partisan lens. NEWSFLASH: Democrats are not always aligned. NEWSFLASH II: Stand Your Ground laws are not only for someone who is armed vs. an unarmed person. Should it not protect Trayvon Martin too?? Further, do you realize that gangs are using this law to defend their killings?? Was that intended?? The debate about parts of those laws will go on, as they should. Especially the parts that tie the hands of police from arrests based on the words of a killer. We should have discussions about concealed weapons too, and vigilantism. Time to be adults.
