Agree with your opinion on eggs and cholesterol but WRONG on colonoscopy. The procedure is still low ,low risk (although more so than a blood test) and if done by a good GI doctor almost eliminates the chance of colon cancer ,and the polyp excision is done at the same time as the procedure.Colon ca is slow growing and the procedure need only be done every 5-10 years

Bacon doesn't need nitrates and nitrates and doesn't need to be fried. Microwave it on paper towels and the paper towels absorb the fat. Not saying you should eat bacon, just saying your objections can be overcome.

Colonoscopy isn't just about colon cancer. All kinds of things going on in there that you can't see. The prep isn't so bad. For clear fluids, I recommend my double or triple chicken broth. Boil a nice little free range chicken in broth, that's double chicken. Do it again, that's triple chicken. Throw in some parsley, dill, that's a nice flavor. Cool it, skim off the fat. There's a nice nourishing broth.

Surprised your health insurance doesn't cover. Here in the USA it's considered essential for preventive maintenance.
