Sam: That wasn't a rant, that was the truth. (IMO)
The S. Korean government has subsidized and run their companies with all the efficiency of a government bureaucracy. Huge streams of revenue, but no profits. The government seemed to have an inexhaustible supply of funds to subsidize their conglomerates (taxing its people after the companies paid them next to nothing). But that may change. In addition to the Korean stock market hitting a seven year low, and in addition to the government sponsored "massive debt with no profit" business model, the S. Korean government has one more problem. CNN reported the other day the people are on the verge of an uprising, there is serious labor and social unrest. Alls I can say it's about time. Dale
