Export farming in this country is such a HUGE Federal mess that I doubt if it can ever be separated from the subsidies. We are doing a ton of it, and I think "nobody knows" how really "profitable" it is.

Exports. Ship food down the Mississippi to New Orleans, and then overseas. We'll do better this way rather than trying to compete with China at making shoes and iPhones.

My part of the country exports a heckuva lot of wheat.
